Being a Science teacher for many years, I always wanted to do this with my students but could never afford the cost since it was a single use item. With Virtual Owl Pellets, students can dissect their own pellet and classify each bone that is found on a bone chart. You can choose to place the bones on the chart with or without the bone names.
When the student is finished there is short movie showing the owl eating and a cute certificate for them to print out.
If you select "More Pellets" from the top of the screen, you can select which type of owl pellet you want to dissect.
Teacher resources has more experiments with birds and the food chain.
